De La Ronde Plantation

The plantation home of Pierre Denis de la Ronde was used as a
British hospital during the Battle of New Orleans.
The ruins of the house are located on St. Bernard Highway
(Louisiana Highway 46), a short distance east of Chalmette
Battlefield. Across the street is a monument identifying the spot
where Louisiana militia camped on December 23, 1814.
