Littafuchee

Littafuchee was a Creek village located about twenty miles from the Tennessee militia's outpost at Camp Wills. In late October 1813, General Andrew Jackson sent Colonel Henry Dyer with a detachment of 200 men to capture the town. Dyer's men captured twenty-eight Creeks in the affair, which they sent to Huntsville.

The site of the village of Littafuchee is located on private property in Canoe Creek Valley near Barker Mountain in Etowah County, Alabama. Photo and information provided by Terry Henderson
