Fort Perry

Fort Perry is believed to have been constructed by General John Floyd's troops in the fall of 1813, and is known to have been garrisoned in 1814. It was a star-shaped fort located along the Federal Road about halfway between Fort Lawrence on the Flint River and Fort Mitchell on the Chattahoochee River.
A historic marker for Fort Perry stands about ten miles north of Buena Vista, Georgia, on Georgia Highway 41. The fort site lies nearby on private property.
