About the Authors

 

Mike Bunn is Director of Operations at Historic Blakeley State Park in Baldwin County, Alabama. In addition to being the location of the important Civil War Battle of Fort Blakeley, the 2100-acre park is the site of the ghost town of Blakeley, once a rival to nearby Mobile, and important Native American, colonial, territorial, and early Alabama statehood period sites.
Clay Williams is the Sites Administrator for the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. In this capacity, he oversees operations at six historic sites across the state: Old Capitol Museum, Manship House Museum, Eudora Welty House and Garden, Historic Jefferson College, Grand Village of the Natchez Indians, and Winterville Mounds.
