Lyncoya Monument
Lyncoya (also known as Lencoya or Lincoyer) was a Creek child
orphaned after his parents were killed at the Battle of Tallushatchee. Andrew Jackson adopted the child, and lived as a member of his family until his death as a teenager.
A monument memorializing the child is located near the site of the Battle of Tallushatchee, just off Calhoun County Road 144, a mile west of US 431.
